Cambridge-Isanti Schools has much to celebrate! Our students achieve at high levels in academics, arts, and activities—success made possible by the dedication of our staff, the partnership of families, and the ongoing support of our community. The funding approved in 2021 strengthened our schools by supporting student learning, attracting and retaining quality staff, and keeping class sizes low. Now, it is time to focus on the facilities that serve our students every day.
Five of our buildings were built before 1975. While they have been maintained, they were not designed for today’s educational, safety, and activity needs. Classrooms in some areas are reaching capacity, and essential maintenance such as roofs, heating systems, and accessibility updates cannot be delayed. Upgrading our facilities will ensure they continue to support the needs of our students and community for years to come.
To address these priorities, the School Board unanimously approved a resolution to hold a special election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. If approved, these investments will support the construction and equipping of additional classroom spaces to increase capacity; safety and security enhancements; deferred maintenance projects; renovations and updates to learning environments; and improvements to athletic and activity facilities. Together, we can build on our strong foundation and invest in spaces where all learners can thrive.
